Business Breakfast

Burnham Chamber of Trade is holding a Business Breakfast meeting on Friday October 6th at 8am at the Ritz Social Club in Victoria Street that will be open to all businesses in Burnham.
A chance to discuss local business issues with Burnham-on-Sea’s MP James Heappey and also hear from Burnham Chamber of Trade on its upcoming events and activties while enjoying a breakfast roll and coffee. This event is FREE for full Chamber members and £4 for others, payable on the door. Please let us know by email at secretary@burnhamonseachamber.org if you have any special dietary needs.

Christmas Lights Switch On

Burnham’s Christmas Lights switch on 2023 will be a day out for all the family, with entertainment starting from 1pm.
All offers of help for the switch-on are very welcome please get in touch if you or your business would like to be involved.

Cheese & Wine Evening
Tuesday 4th July 2023 – 5pm
May’s Cafe, 1 Abingdon Street
Burnham Chamber of Trade is holding a Cheese & Wine networking evening on Tuesday 4th July from 5pm at May’s Cafe in Abingdon Street that will be open to all businesses in Burnham.
Cheese & Wine will be available for just £2 per person for ‘associate members’ or will be free for ‘full members’. Feel free to drop into the meeting any time from 5pm.

Classic Vehicle Show
Saturday 3rd June 2023 – 10am-4pm
Throughout the Town Centre
After the huge success of last year when large crowds of people attended the first event, over 100 unique vehicles from across the decades went on show at our second annual ‘Burnham Classic and Vintage Vehicle Display’ organised with the support of Bridgwater Classic and Vintage Club to boost footfall in the town centre.
As with last year the Chamber of Trade does not allow out-of-town traders stalls at this event in order to ensure all trade is directed into Burnham’s cafés and shops – this was also our policy at last year’s event.
Public event – Free Entry
Road Closures for this Event: Roads will start to close at 6am, please remove any vehicles before this time. The following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic: Chapel Street, College Street, High Street, Regent Street, Princess Street (extended this year to full length of Street), South Street, Vicarage Street, Victoria Street (extended this year to full length of Street). As a result of these closures the following roads will be inaccessible by vehicle: Cottage Row, George Street
Coronation Crowns Trail
April 29th – May 13th 2023
Various locations throughout Burnham & Highbridge
30 colourful crowns are on display in shop windows in Burnham and Highbridge as part of a special competition to mark King Charles’ Coronation.
Burnham Chamber of Trade, with the support of the Town Council, Create You and Our Highbridge, has launched the Coronation Crowns Trail which runs for two weeks from April 29th-May 13th. More details on Burnham-on-Sea.com

‘Green opportunities and environmental’ projects open evening
Wednesday 22nd March 2023 – 7pm
Highbridge Community Hall, Market Street
The council’s Climate and Ecology Working Group is working with Burnham and Highbridge Chambers of Commerce on the event, which will be open to all local businesses to learn about environmental projects and initiatives that directly affect small local businesses.
There will be several speakers during the evening and tables set up from local groups with free refreshments Burnham Chamber of Trade is pleased to be supporting the evening along with other groups.

Come along to hear about plans for the Christmas lights switch-on in the town centre, local projects to boost trade in the town, and join a Q&A with our local MP James Heappey.
The session is open to all. It is free for Burnham Chamber of Trade members and just £2 per person for others to include a bacon roll and a cup of coffee or tea.
